Dr Asante, is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Bromley (part of Kings College Hospital, London).
Maxwell completed his Senior Registrar in Gastroenterology training at St George’s Hospital, London in 1999. He was awarded PhD(Med) by University of London in 1999 for research on the role of Helicobacter Pylori in gastro-intestinal diseases and also for developing healthcare systems for managing dyspepsia and upper gastro-intestinal endoscopy. He has published extensively in this area.
Dr Asante has built up over 15 years’ experience in the management of diseases in all areas of gastroenterology. He sees most gastroenterology referrals for adults and adolescents.
Inflammatory Bowel Diseases; Functional Gastro-intestinal Disorders (e.g. IBS); Disorders of gastro-intestinal motility; Therapeutic Endoscopy (including colonoscopy, ERCP, balloon enteroscopy); and Complex benign gastro-intestinal disorders (e.g. POTS and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome).
